Since Monday, 10 May 2021, the State of Israel is under constant attack from terrorist and rogue groups in the Gaza Strip. The terrorists – organized as radical islamist fundamentalists called “Hamas” and “Islamic Jihad” – fired more than 2,300 “Qassam Rockets” into Israel. Here’s why #WeStandWithIsrael.
These short-range rockets come with payloads of 10 to 20 kg explosives and a shrapnel to increase damage wherever they impact. They cannot be and are not meant to be guided towards a special military target – their only goal is to cause terror, havoc, destruction and death among civilians, including women and children.
Although roundabout 90% of those rockets are intercepted by Israel’s rocket defense shield “Iron Dome”, the terrorists “updated” their tactics, thus firing vast barrages of multiple Qassam Rockets at the same time into the same area, aiming to overload Iron Dome.
Since the beginning of the rocket terror onslaught against Israel, lots of Israelis have been killed, among them six-year-old Ido Avigal, IDF Staff Sergeant Omer Tabib and a Holocaust Survivor, sitting in her wheelchair.
Hamas and other Palestinian terrorists are murderers. They have no respect for conventions of war and no principles of ethics whatsoever. They are traitors to their own faith. They hold their fellow countrymen hostage. Their only goal is to cause death and destruction. They kill not merely to end lives, but to disrupt and end a way of life. They hate freedom, political liberty, progress and civilization. They hate Israel because it embodies all of this. They hate it because it is the brightest beacon for hope, peace and opportunity in the Middle East. So here’s my message to the terrorists:
#WeStandWithIsrael. You will not prevail. You are cowards. You might hide behind your own civilians, using innocent women and children as human shields. You may store your weapons in civilian areas, including hospitals and press offices. You might dig holes and terror tunnels and detonate your failing rockets in your own land. But make no mistake: Your days are numbered, for justice will be done. You will be hunted down, turned against one another, driven from place to place until there is no refuge and no rest. You will be starved of funding, found, stopped and defeated. And your journey will end where it must end: in history’s unmarked grave of discarded lies.
To my friends in Israel: Do not cower and do not waver – you are not alone. Everybody who loves freedom, peace and security in the world stands steadfast at your side! We image, if it were London, Berlin, New York or Paris – so count on our support while defending Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Ashdod and Ashkelon.
